Welcome to the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park & Wiedtal!
A particularly beautiful piece of nature. Nestled in the green expanses of the Westerwald and bordered by the romantic Rhine in the west, the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park with the Wiedtal is part of the green heart of the low mountain region. Invigorating freshness and unspoilt landscapes go hand in hand here with a multitude of sights, festivals and beautiful traditions. The seasons provide the colourful framework for activities between the long-distance hiking trails RheinSteig and WesterwaldSteig.

The Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park is located in western Germany and covers parts of the federal states of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia. The park's landscape is characterised by a variety of rivers, valleys and forests and offers numerous opportunities for activities such as hiking, cycling and canoeing. Particularly worth seeing are the basalt formations and rock outcrops in the area, which were created by volcanism. The nature park also has a lot to offer culturally, for example in the form of historic castles and palaces. All in all, the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park is a perfect destination for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.
