Description

The path is identical with RWW 6 until the Holzbachtal. From here it continues northwards. After an ascent, a bridge crosses the B54, offering a view over a wide landscape with magnificent forests, meadows, and farmland, shaped by the ridges and slopes of our low mountain range. You reach Oberzeuzheim, a district that has been a recognized recreation area and popular home for nature and forest hiking enthusiasts for 25 years. Along the edge of the village, crossing Siegener Straße, you go downhill to Niederzeuzheim. With a view of the large fish ponds of an internationally exporting fish farm, you hike over the Elbbach bridge along Bahnhof- and Gartenstraße to a narrow path that crosses the small Salzbach bridge. Following the charming shore of the Elbbach, Hadamar is reached, where the circular route closes.

Safety instructions

Wear sturdy footwear as well as weather-appropriate, practical clothing that protects you from cold and wet conditions or heat and sun.

Take enough fluids with you. There are not refreshment opportunities everywhere.

Please wear suitable hiking boots that provide enough grip even on slippery and steep or rocky and uneven paths.

If you consider certain sections of the trail impassable for you, you should bypass them. Especially in adverse weather conditions, natural trails can have muddy and slippery passages.

Especially in autumn, pay attention that fallen leaves on the ground can hide unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. You should expect such trail impairments when hiking.

Although the path is very well marked throughout, you should always carry a suitable hiking map for safety reasons.
