In Herschbach, coming from Siegstraße, turn into Laurentiusallee and follow it to the cemetery (car park).
Buses run to and from Herschbach – walking distance to the starting point approx. 10 – 15 minutes

The start is at the Laurentius Chapel above Herschbach. Along the edge of the nature reserve "Viehbachwiese," the path continually ascends through a forest area to the Bitzberg. From there, the route leads between the village of Schenkelberg and basalt quarry towards Hartenfels with a view of the castle ruins. Before entering a forest area, a little off the path is the natural monument "Zehntgarben." On the return to Herschbach along the Waagweiher, it goes through the "Laurentiusallee" back to the starting point.
