The start and finish is the parking lot at Winner Ufer 9, 56459 Stahlhofen a.W., directly at Wiesensee. Around Wiesensee, about 6 km, it is barrier-free and accessible with strollers or wheelchairs. Along the way, there are opportunities for refreshments and resting on the benches and lounge seats along the lake. On the path around Wiesensee, you can enjoy the natural beauty in every season.

By train to Westerburg, then by bus line 116 to the Winner Ufer stop at Wiesensee.
Free large parking lot directly at Wiesensee, Winner Ufer 9, 56459 Stahlhofen a.W.
From the rear parking lot at Winner Ufer, I start at the tourist information center where I pick up hiking flyers, and walk past the Seewies café below. Opposite the street, I see a campsite, but continue to the right over the dam. Even here, I could take a short break on one of the benches and enjoy the lake view. But my path continues along the lake, below the village of Stahlhofen a.W. From the old DLRG hut, I stroll in the shade of the trees and later follow a longer straight stretch below the road to Pottum. Here I must be careful because the path is also popular with cyclists. Shortly after, I have a choice: at a fork, a natural path leads through the shade of the trees. Here I cross the small Hüttenbach that flows into the lake. Or I decide on the left path, which goes over bitumen and then at the parking lot before Pottum turns right again to the "Kleiner Wäller".
In Pottum, I stock up at the bakery and butcher for a picnic and save the restaurants for another time. Instead, I continue to the sailing harbor and from there on a paved path always along the lake. After a few meters, I take a break at a lawn with a kiosk and then watch the dogs playing and the surfers at their station. I continue following the signpost, walk to the right and over a bridge crossing the Seebach. I follow the ascending farm road for 300 meters and then turn right again. Then I walk slightly uphill. On both sides of the path, I see some fairways of the 18-hole golf course as well as the clubhouse on the left and then a hotel on the right.
Shortly before the intersection, I take the footpath to the right between the trees towards the WällerLand Tourist Information at Wiesensee, whose wooden building can be seen on the right. I find some souvenirs and regional products here. Relaxed, I sit for a while longer in the hiking swing at the parking lot and enjoy the lake view before starting my journey home.
Currently, the Wiesensee has no water due to repair work!
Comfortable shoes, the path is mostly paved, gravelled, or tarmacked.

At the Palzhahn kiosk on the Pottum side, there is homemade ice cream! Toilets are available at Winner Ufer and at the sailing harbor in the Pottum area.
