Description

You can design the 42.8 km circular route as you wish. Start at Beulskopf, Waldschwimmbad Thalhausermühle in Hamm, Marienthal or from Au station. Parking is available there. Ride the route completely or shorten it. At many points on the bike route, you can take a break and visit an attraction. The path leads over the Westerwald loop through romantically situated countryside such as the Bellingerbach valley, Holperbach valley, and Nister valley. A romantic view over the Sieg valley promises the Kanzels Ley with its lovers' arbour on good weather days. Another highlight is the German Raiffeisen Museum in Hamm: here, the speaking media artwork "Talking Head Raiffeisen" will amaze you. Of course, you can stop for refreshments at many places directly on the circular route, especially in the Marienthal monastery village. The pilgrimage site is something like the gateway to the "end of the world" on the Westerwald Steig. Wonder why? Go there, find out and enjoy your cycling adventure!
