The swimming season starts every year around mid-June and ends, weather permitting, in the last week of August, coinciding with the end of the Rheinland-Palatinate summer holidays. Bringing dogs is not allowed.
Natural splashing in the largest natural swimming pool in the region
Thalhausermühle Forest Swimming Pool - Naturally Splashing
The outdoor and forest swimming pool "Thalhausermühle" is the largest natural outdoor pool in the Westerwald region, featuring a water area of 16,000 square meters and sunbathing lawns of 15,000 square meters.
The vast water surface and nearly as many expansive and well-maintained sunbathing areas in the midst of the forest invite you to linger. Chemicals of any kind have no "access" to the body of water. Nature is responsible for water quality, as the largest natural swimming pool in the region is supplied with water from the Seelbach stream and the Marienthaler tunnel. "Pure nature" in every respect. It's no wonder that fish feel right at home in this natural swimming pool. The water quality is regularly checked by the state environmental agency. The swimming pool is divided into a swimmer and a non-swimmer area. The maximum water depth is four meters. A kiosk complements the offerings at the forest swimming pool. New in 2024: with a beach volleyball court and an adventure water playground
Adventurous individuals will also find plenty to enjoy here: How about a jump from 1 or 3 meters high from the diving tower? Or would you like to climb up to 7 meters on the water climbing wall? The giant slide also promises a lot of fun!
