Wiesensee

Detailed description

The Wiesensee is a holiday and recreational area in the Wäller Land, where you will also find the Tourist Information WällerLand (Tiwi).

Diverse options for leisure activities are offered in the Wiesensee holiday and recreational area.
Culinary delights to your heart's content: Enjoy coffee by the lake at the Seewies Café, traditional German cuisine is available at restaurants in Pottum, and you can sit in the green at the kiosk near the lawn (close to Pottum) to enjoy ice cream or a snack. The adjacent golf hotel offers upscale standards.

The 18-hole golf course is also located directly at the lake and is popular beyond the regional level. It also features a driving range with practice area as well as a 9-hole short course.

The region around the lake is also ideal for hiking and Nordic walking, as several circular hiking routes such as the “Grüner Steig and Seenweg” begin here. Moreover, access to the Westerwald-Steig is easy. Additionally, the Wiesensee is the intersection of the Rheinland-Pfalz cycling round route and the Westerwald cycling paths.

Special events around the Tourist Information are held throughout the year. For example, the Spring Awakening with Herbal Wind and in late summer the Apple Market. Wild herb hikes, dog experience days! Additionally, e-bike excursions are offered as well as guided hikes with various thematic focuses.

Right by the lake, guests can receive comprehensive information at the Tourist Information Wäller Land at Wiesensee. It is open daily in summer and only closed on Saturdays during the winter half-year.

At the Tourist Information, many different events are available for participation, and there is a well-stocked Herbal Wind shop.
