Love at First Sight - Hiking with Valais Blackneck Goats in DerschenDuring a family holiday in the mountains, the Rosenkranz family discovered Valais Blackneck goats grazing contentedly on a steep slope during a rest at a mountain pasture. There, they came up with the idea to start their own breeding of Valais Blackneck goats at home in Derschen. From three petite goats, a small herd quickly developed ... Simply Leave Everyday Stress Behind ...Decelerate and leave everyday stress behind for a while in beautiful nature – this can be experienced up close on a hike with the good-natured Blackneck goats. A guided hike of about two hours is offered in the surrounding area of Derschen, located in the northernmost tip of Rhineland-Palatinate, not far from Stegskopf, the second highest elevation in the Westerwald. And for those who wish, there is a plentiful picnic afterwards. Adults pay 25 euros per person for a two-hour tour, groups of five or more pay 20 euros per person, and children up to 16 years old (only when accompanied by adults) pay 12.50 euros.
