The Poppenturm is a distinctive defense tower of the former Hachenburg city fortifications. It conveys a vivid impression of the medieval history of the city.
The Poppenturm is one of the few remaining parts of the old city wall of Hachenburg. With its thick walls and compact structure, it recalls a time when the city had to be fortified and protected. Visitors can clearly see how closely history and urban development are intertwined. As a silent relic of the past, the Poppenturm is an integral part of the cityscape.
