Otto-Pfeiffer-Museum in Kirchen-Freusburg

Detailed description

A permanent exhibition at the Otto Pfeiffer Museum, the old Freusburg school building, showcases works by the painter Otto Pfeiffer (1882 - 1955). Otto Pfeiffer is the son of Wilhelmina Stracke, a former resident of Freusburg.

The paintings of the Impressionist and Naturalist were collected after World War II by Margarethe Gerth-Pfeiffer (deceased), the daughter of the painter, in the USA and Europe. They are of impressive beauty in their intensity and naturalness. The Freusburg Association for the Preservation of Historical and Cultural Values manages a comprehensive collection of Otto Pfeiffer's paintings.

In addition to the permanent exhibition of Otto Pfeiffer's works, additional temporary exhibitions and events take place at varying times in the museum and on its outdoor area.
