Parking lot Bürdenbach-Bruch (Oberlahr/Bruchermühle)
The start and end point is the parking lot Bürdenbach-Bruch (Oberlahr/Bruchermühle). From the hotel park “Der Westerwald-Treff” the route also leads onto the former railway embankment, along the Wied, then uphill along a 1.5 km long paved path towards the weekend house area Oberlahr “Im Jähnen”, continuing via a hiking trail into the forest, back to Bürdenbach-Bruch (Oberlahr/Bruchermühle) past the hotel park “Der Westerwald-Treff” and returning to the start point.
This section is passable only conditionally in snow.
