B414 to Ingelbach station – on L265 to Kroppach, at the church turn right onto K14 towards Heuzert
Train to Ingelbach station
Route follows the Holdinghauser path to the district road at Lützelau, here cross the road and take the path to the sewage treatment plant, uphill to the right and then left again, at the edge of the forest left downhill, over a footbridge, then right along the brook nature trail to Limbach, initially straight ahead, then right downhill over the bridge (cultural monument), then right to the museum (visit possible), from here uphill over the road and a field path to the slate mining site “Assberg” with opportunities for visits, from here downhill, at the intersection right to the hiking trail at the Große Nister, right downstream along the brook, briefly left at the district road and immediately right again, at the leisure facility Astert right uphill, returning along the right bank of the Nister to Wilhelmsteg and the starting point.
