The historical Nistermühle was mentioned as early as 1234 and is idyllically located south of Hachenburg. It is especially known for the fact that Konrad Adenauer sought refuge here from the Gestapo in 1944.
The impressive Heuzeroth lime tree is one of the oldest and most striking solitary trees in the region. Its sturdy trunk and wide crown bear witness to a long history that is closely intertwined with the surrounding area. The space around the lime tree invites a brief rest and offers a beautiful view of the landscape. Hikers and nature lovers particularly appreciate the atmosphere of this natural monument.
