The oldest part of Bad Marienberg is the Marienquelle, located near the Evangelical Church.
A popular hiking destination, just a few minutes' walk from the Protestant church, is the Marienquelle. Here lies the oldest part of Bad Marienberg. The Marienquelle was first mentioned in 1863 as a so-called Heiligenborn in the Marmer Church Chronicle, where its water was praised as"excellent water." It is a tradition to pause at the spring to rest and relax. A small grotto with a statue of Mary and a rustic oak railing adorn the site.
