50 years "Long Counter" - Marmer Autumn Market celebrates anniversary

On October 04, the Marmer Autumn Market celebrates the 50th anniversary of the "Long Counter" with a sales-opening Sunday. What began in 1976 as a joint initiative of the Bad Marienberg advertising community has developed into one of the most well-known traditional events in the Westerwald.

For the anniversary, visitors can expect a varied program: Starting at 11 a.m., a Frühschoppen with the Nauberg Musicians will kick things off, followed by performances by the band großArtig and Sascha Ax on stage in the town center. Around 5:00 p.m., the winners of the anniversary tombola will be drawn.

Special highlights include the visit of the "Mouse" from the "Show with the Mouse" as a walkact, as well as the stilt theater Circulo. For children, there will also be a bouncy castle and other participation offerings.

The Autumn Market starts at 11:00 a.m., and the shops invite you to the sales-opening Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. One week prior, the Marmer Art Mile opens, with works on display in the shops of the spa town until the end of October.

The event is supported by funds from the model project City Center Impulses (IIP) of the Ministry of the Interior and Sports of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
