More and more citizens and guests are using e-bikes and pedelecs. Due to the different charging systems of various e-bike manufacturers and types, it is generally necessary to take the complete charging set on tours. In Rennerod, there is a charging station equipped with the bike-energy e-bike charging system, which will make it easier for many e-bike owners to charge their bike batteries.
The lockers offer a combination of standardized 230V sockets and the bike-energy charging system. Additionally, the lockers are equipped with a sophisticated cable feed so that the battery does not have to be removed from the bike, as long as the e-bike has a direct charging connection. The innovative charging cable from bike-energy is small and handy, replacing the bulky and weather-sensitive home charger. The cable is available for all common e-bikes at sports specialty stores or directly from bike-energy or can be borrowed during opening hours at the Tourist Information "Hoher Westerwald."
Of course, the lockers can also be used with home chargers, and GPS devices or smartphones can also be charged at the 230V socket.
The lockers also provide a safe storage place for helmets, bags, and other accessories. Due to their installation in a central downtown location, users of the charging station can use the battery charging time very well to run errands in Rennerod.
