Via the L255 in the Wied Valley to the center of Waldbreitbach; here the Marktstraße parking lot is signposted
VRM Line 130 between Neuwied and Neustadt / Wied
free parking in Marktstraße Waldbreitbach (signposted)
From the free parking lot Marktstraße, turn left into the street "In der Au" and walk to its end. The path then leads past the school towards the bridge (here there is a worthwhile detour to the left to the Kreuzkapelle). Before the bridge, we walk right along the lovely Wied riverbank and then cross the pedestrian bridge to the restaurants "Nassen's Mühle" and the "PRIMA Hotel Vitabalance." After a small refreshment, we follow the street "Am Mühlenberg" to the right further along the Wied riverbank, past the crib museum with 2,500 cribs from around the world, up to the bridge. We cross the bridge back to the other side of the Wied and immediately turn left after the bridge. Our path leads us to the oil mill (formerly used for producing cooking oil from rapeseed, flaxseed, and beech nuts) and the craft museum (over 300-year-old half-timbered house). On Saturdays and Sundays, the building is used as a cozy coffee house. We continue over the playground, passing to the right of the "Camping am Strandbad" until the T-junction. Here we turn right onto the main street ("Neuwieder Straße"). Past the "Old Village Smithy" and some shops and places to eat, we reach the tourist information center. A few meters further, we turn right again into Marktstraße and return to the parking lot.
