An idyllic half-timbered village under monumental protection.
Mehren probably originated already at the time of the Great Migration. The monument class-listed village consists of half-timbered houses mostly from the 18th century, an old school - a magnificent late Gothic half-timbered house from the 16th century - and a three-nave church (from around 1200). In the competition "Our village shall become more beautiful! Our village has a future! “, Mehren was awarded as the most beautiful village in Rheinland-Pfalz and two-time National Champion. Mehren is definitely worth a visit!
