This year, the organisers have once again come up with a very special treat in cooperation with the clay processing companies: The pottery competition will take place again! The exhibits will be on display in the Alte Schmiede (Bachstraße) during the opening hours of the market and can be viewed by visitors. There will also be an opportunity to work with clay on the potter's wheel on the market square. There will also be plenty to eat and drink. There are numerous stalls and tents spread across the entire market offering well-known snacks as well as local dishes such as stew soup, potato pancakes and much more. Our tip: We are also planning to give visitors the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the Schmidtchen clay pit again in 2025. The tour will be organised in cooperation with the company Lassmann Tonbergbau. Meeting point: Market square/corner of Eiscafé Marco. From there, there will be a small shuttle bus to the clay pit.
