82 stations light up along the "Waldbreitbach Nativity Scene Trail". This also includes lovingly designed small nativity scenes in stores and private gardens. All attractions in the village can be visited daily and admission is free.
Highlights include the large nativity scene in the parish church "Maria Himmelfahrt" with over 1,000 roots, the floating nativity scene on the Wied, the floating Advent wreath with a diameter of 8 m, the life-size figures from the Erzgebirge, the open-air nativity scene and the candle arch nativity scene from the Waldbreitbacher Krippenfreunde. You can also marvel at the Advent calendar house with Christmas scenes from Germany and all over the world. The Christmas illumination on the 18 m high guild tree with a diameter of 6 m and almost 10,000 LEDs provides a golden sparkle in the village center. Also open again: Gustel's Nativity Scene and Bible World with over 2,500 nativity scenes from all over the world on 800 m² of exhibition space!
This is just the circular route through the village (1.2 km). A few detours to nativity scenes to the right and left of the path extend the total distance to around 2 km. The nativity scenes and the other highlights are numbered with yellow stars. There is also a new Christmas Village rally for children and young people up to the age of 18. You have to answer 10 questions about the Christmas Village. Free parking lot in the Marktstraße in Waldbreitbach
You will find a free parking lot in Marktstraße Waldbreitbach. You can start here or at the tourist information office at Neuwieder Straße 61. As it is a circular route through the village, you can also start at any point.
Uwe`s Partykneipe offers mulled wine or other drinks in a Christmassy atmosphere from Monday to Friday from 16:00 and Saturday, Sunday from 14:00 -Strandbadweg 8, Waldbreitbach.
During the week, the Christmas Village stall in Schmiddepark (at the old village smithy) offers mulled wine, hot chocolate with cream, lumumba and bockwurst in a roll.The Christmas Village stall is open daily from 14:00 to 18:00 from 15.12.2025-11.1.26 (closed on 24.12.25).
The proceeds will go to the Christmas Village Association.
