In the tour planner we inform you under the tab "Current info" about temporary route changes, closures and detours.
From the parking lot in the Ulm town center, the path leads past the playground and Ulmbach and over the small bridge at the former town hall. Then we follow – as the name suggests – Dianaburgstraße uphill, which eventually leads into a field path. Along the fields, we continue hiking and through the forest to the "Welscher Born." Two picnic benches invite you to rest at this cozy and historically significant spot. The small spring bubbles merrily. In 1685, Count Wilhelm Moritz zu Solms-Greifenstein met here with fleeing Huguenots, whom he settled in Greifenthal and Daubhausen. Just a few hundred meters further, we reach Dianaburg in a sea of basalt boulders. It is owned by Count Oppersdorff zu Solms Braunfels. The tenant is happy to let us take a look inside if he is present. An appointment can be arranged through the municipal administration of Greifenstein (02779/91 24 -0 or mail@greifenstein.de).
After ample sightseeing and rest, the route continues downhill via forest paths. At Haagstein, the view extends to Greifenstein Castle. We reach the intersection "7 Wege" and turn towards the Ulmbach valley. Soon the splashing Ulmbach accompanies us back to the village center and our starting point.
