Directions

The Wied Valley has a great bike trail in store for us with the "Wied-bike trail". It runs through the beautiful river valley from east to west across the Westerwald, connecting 99 km of varied Westerwald landscapes.

It leads from the northern Westerwald via the Westerwald lake district and Ehrenstein Monastery to the Wiedtal valley. Here it is suitable for everyone, whether sporty cyclists, e-bikers or families, as the cycle path runs between Neustadt / Wied and Neuwied as a well-signposted path on a flat route. The final stage ends in the dyke town of Neuwied, where the Wied flows into the Rhine.

Here we have an ideal connection to the Rhine bike trail heading north towards Linz and Bonn or south towards Koblenz and the Loreley. Of course, we can also start in the opposite direction from the Moselle or Eifel towards the Westerwald.
