First through the spa park and further past the roundabout before leaving the built-up area and reaching the forest. Then the trail climbs up to the juniper heath and continues towards the television tower. Two road crossings follow, once the L294 and later, shortly before the district of Pfuhl, the K60. Through the village of Nisterau you reach the Hölzerstein hill. The path then leads back to the village and then through the Bacher Lay nature reserve. Back in Bad Marienberg, the trail passes the Marienquelle spring and the Protestant church before returning to the starting point.
Especially in autumn, be aware that leaves lying on the ground can hide bumps, roots, stones or holes in the path.
Path impairments of this kind are to be expected on every hike.
Sturdy shoes are recommended, as well as appropriate clothing for the weather, which protects against cold and wet or heat and sun.
Also take enough liquid with you, there are no refreshment stops along the way.
Picnic at the juniper heath, a heath-like biotope with insect diversity.
