The Genealogical Association Lahn-Dill-Kreis e.V. (GAGLD) is opening its doors. The GAGLD archive is opening its archive and making it available to the public. After the Covid pandemic prevented us from making our archive accessible to the public, the time has finally come. Here you will find exciting, informative documents on local history sources/information from the Lahn-Dill district and neighboring regions. Would you like to do family research? Do you have old handwritten texts and cannot decipher them? Do you want to find out more about your ancestors and don't know how and where to start? Then you have come to the right place. Genealogy is not a hobby for old people with gray hair and "dusty" literature on the shelves. Genealogy is a very exciting, fascinating hobby for the whole family. Perhaps you are still looking for a wonderful, exciting hobby, or can you imagine supporting the association and would like to become a member? Do you just want to "take a look" and find out what kind of association it is and who is active there or what exactly is done there? Then visit us in the archive. You are very welcome at any time. Visits to the archive are not only open to the public during opening hours. You are also welcome to arrange a visit outside of these times. Contact us on the telephone number of the first chairman, Mr. Michael Habermehl +49 6447 922585, or by email at: kontakt[at]genealogie-lahndill.de. You can also visit our homepage at: https://genealogie-lahndill.de We, the Genealogical Association Lahn-Dill-Kreis e.V., would be very pleased to welcome you as a visitor.
