Detailed description

The Krumm- and Lasterbach valley is enriched by an attraction - the approx. 8 km-long nature trail "Eisvogelweg" leads along Krummbach and Lasterbach through the typical Westerwälder Mittelgebirgslandschaft. The famous Frankfurt cabaret artist Matthias Beltz once described the romantic valley landscape between Westernohe and Hüblingen as the "Tuscany of the Westerwald".
The trail leads through natural paths along the stream, through meadows with typical plant species. Clear water and lush meadows lure interesting inhabitants, who can be observed here in peace. Resting benches at various points of the route invite you to rest.
The walking time is about 2 hours. Starting at the village square in Westernohe, the trail leads via Hüblingen, Elsoff and Neunkirchen to the Birkenmühle near Hausen. Apart from the two endpoints, there are entrance possibilities in Hüblingen, Hofkammel and Neunkirchen. About 20 signs along the way provide information on the communities and the habitat of many animals.
The Kingfisher logo shows the hikers the right way.
