In the architect's description of the building at that time, it says, among other things, with regard to the rounding of the chancel and the image of the Risen Christ on the choir wall: "Christ, rising from the grave, spreading his arms wide". And: "Like a prow, the choir, set in quarry stone, faces east". A statue of the Virgin Mary has been given a place in the left aisle.
