Kasita Kanto- Konzerte in der Schauhöhle

Description

Concerts as part of the Kultursommer Mittelhessen 2025

Shruti Box meets dripstones - indie folk in the cave - Kasita Kanto - singer-songwriter duo

Kasita Kanto are a German-speaking singer-songwriter duo who have also been at home in India since the pandemic. On their tour, they give space to topics that seem to fade away in the noise of our time. Thoughts about meaning and transience alternate with images that capture the moment in its simple particularity. Their mixture of philosophical indie folk, gentle songwriting and cheeky kind-of-pop, underpinned by the inimitable spherical sound of the Shruti Box, is a refreshing insider tip in the flood of mainstream music. Sensitive guitar melodies and powerful vocals blend like sweet chai and spicy masala during their concerts - wonderfully warm and imbued with a feeling of expansiveness and connection.

After the descent (124 steps) into the cave, you will first be guided through the large button hall by cave guides. You can marvel at the diverse stalactite formations in a special atmosphere. Now the artists Sabrina and Tom from Kasita Kanto take over and lead you into a magical world with their sounds. The concert lasts approx. 45 minutes and the entire visit to the cave takes 1.25 hours. In addition to sturdy shoes, warm clothing is required as the temperature in the cave is 9 degrees. Seating is provided. Let yourself be enchanted by the variety of stalactites in the most beautiful light and the picturesque sounds of Kasita Kanto - a very special cave experience in the Breitscheid autumn labyrinth show cave. The Herbstlabyrinth Advent cave system is the largest cave system in Hesse and one of the most important in Germany. Its total length is currently 13,100 metres with a height difference of 92 metres. The Knöpfchenhalle is the largest single room in the cave. In 2009, it was made accessible to the public via an artificial tunnel with 124 steps. The Herbstlabyrinth show cave is one of the most modern show caves in Europe thanks to its innovative lighting and a walkway construction made of GRP material and is the first dripstone cave with a complete LED lighting concept.
