Surroundings
The Engels holiday apartment borders on the Natursteig-Sieg (approx. 1.5 km) and the Westerwaldsteig (approx. 2.5 km). But also numerous other, partly award-winning hiking or adventure trails such as the Druidensteig, the Wiedweg, the Erlebnisweg Sieg - Auenlandweg (Germany's most beautiful hiking trail, has taken 2nd place in the category day tours), the Marienwanderweg, which connects the two monastery towns of Marienthal and Marienstatt and also the brand new Wäller Tour - Raiffeisens Sonntagsspaziergang - can be reached in just a few minutes' drive. Many other paths in the area of the beautiful Siegtal valley and the green Westerwald forest offer numerous hiking opportunities. There are also many opportunities for cyclists to explore our region.
A treetop walk, several animal parks, a climbing forest, a visitor mine or the Raiffeisen observation tower are all within easy reach by car. The town of Hachenburg (approx. 19 km), with its historic old town and market square, a local history museum and shopping facilities, can also be reached by bus and train and is always worth a visit. The district town of Altenkirchen is approx. 11 km away.
In the neighbouring village of Hamm/Sieg, which can be easily reached on foot or by bus (approx. 1.3 km, birthplace of Friedrich-Wilhelm Raiffeisen), you will find the German Raiffeisen Museum, which is known far beyond the region. In summer, the largest forest swimming pool in the Westerwald, the Thalhausermühle (16,000 square metres of water, 15,000 square metres of sunbathing area) invites you to climb, swim, jump, slide, relax and linger.
You can find all your daily needs in Hamm in various discount supermarkets, bakeries and a drinks market. Drugstores, bookshops and pharmacies are also available. Restaurants, an ice-cream parlour and a pizza delivery service will spoil you with culinary delights. Au/Sieg railway station, with excellent connections to Cologne and Siegen, is 3 km away and can be easily reached by bus. The bus stop is 250 metres away.

For the 3rd and 4th person we charge a surcharge of 10€ each
All prices plus final cleaning / stay = 50 €
A deposit of 30% will be charged after booking. Please pay the remaining amount 10 days before arrival. Cancellations up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge. Later cancellations will be charged at 90% of the total price.

We warmly welcome you to our cosy, newly renovated Engels holiday flat in Roth-Hämmerholz - 65 m² for up to 4 people
Our beautiful holiday flat in a quiet location is the perfect place for holidaymakers who want to discover the Westerwald.
The holiday flat is on the ground floor with its own entrance. It should be mentioned that the kitchen, living room and shower area have a slightly lower ceiling height (2m/2.10m).
The holiday flat has a separate entrance with a small hallway.
