Place of worship
On 8 April 1894, the first sod was turned for the construction of a Protestant church in Betzdorf, today's Kreuzkirche. When Betzdorf suffered a heavy bombing raid on 12 March 1945, the church was also damaged and could be restored until 1952 thanks to the help of the population. The church was given the name Kreuzkirche because a rather simple wooden cross now stands on the same spot in memory of the white marble cross in the sanctuary before the war. You can find out the opening hours at the telephone number given.
