At the Breitscheid airfield "Auf der Hub" - part of the Nordic Walking Park Westerwald - you can experience four different certified and signposted Nordic Walking routes! From easy to challenging - everyone will find their ideal walking route here.

The Westerwald is part of the Rhenish Slate Mountains between the rivers Lahn and Sieg. Rising to an altitude of 657 m (Fuchskaute) it offers it regularly offers safe winter sports conditions in winter.

Breitscheid Ski Area:

Altitude 450 m - 550 m above sea level - four groomed cross-country ski trails.

-round course: Length 6 km, type of terrain: forest and open terrain.

-airfield trail: Length 3 km, difference in altitude 20 m Easy and firm cross-country trail particularly suitable for beginners.

-Forest trail: Length 5.7 km, difference in altitude 55 m. As a long drawn-out increase, mostly leading through forest (easy).

-Bartensteinloipe: Length 9.5 km, difference in altitude 95 m. Starts at the ski hut and leads through the typical Westerwald landscape. Wonderful views are combined with the alternation of open countryside and forest (moderately difficult).
