In the tour planner we inform you under the tab "Current info" about temporary route changes, closures and detours.
The starting point is the Buchholz Parish Church, an impressive historical landmark with a special charm that reflects the history of the town. The trail continues to the old bakehouse "Backes," where the village once gathered to bake bread together – a place full of memories of times gone by, bringing to life the importance of community and tradition. A special highlight is the legendary Drudenbron, a spring that tells of ancient legends and exudes a mystical atmosphere. Along the trail, a wayside shrine invites you to pause, a silent witness to the region's religious history and a place for reflection. Lake Mückensee offers the perfect opportunity for a break – here you can relax on a bench and fully enjoy the idyllic nature. Finally, the trail leads to the Buchholz Mill, also known as "Alda's Mill," a place where history comes alive. A short rest here is worthwhile to absorb the atmosphere. A hike that perfectly combines nature, history, and culture.
Follow the main road in Buchholz and the starting point is Gasthaus Stroh on the right-hand side.

The tour starts in Buchholz at "Katrin Blumen & mehr" and leads via the Heimathaus and the street "In den Hanfen" in the direction of Bonner Straße. You walk through Wallroth and continue along Brunnenweg to Oberscheid. From there, the trail leads you through fields and forests via Asbach-Walgenbach back towards Buchholz. On the way, you will pass the roads "Zum Talblick", "Oberscheider Weg" and "Pfalzstraße", among others. The tour ends back at the starting point in Buchholz.
If you are of the opinion that certain sections of the trail are not suitable for you, then you should avoid them. Especially in adverse weather conditions, muddy and slippery passages can occur on near-natural paths.
In autumn in particular, you should be aware that leaves lying on the ground can hide uneven surfaces, roots, stones or holes in the path. You have to expect this type of path impairment when you go on a hike.
Hiking boots and weather-appropriate clothing are an advantage
