Wiedweg Gesamtstrecke
The Wied, the longest river in the Westerwald, is the eponym of the approx. 110 km long Wiedweg. The Wied is a major feature of the western part of the Westerwald and shapes large parts of the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park.
The starting point of the trail is the source of the Wied near Linden, from where it follows narrow, natural paths directly along the still small body of water to Dreifelden at the Westerwald lake district. From the Dreifelder Weiher, the route leads in a varied and eventful way over and along the sometimes quiet, sometimes lively Wied to the finish in Neuwied at the Westerwald lakes.
to the finish in Neuwied on the Rhine. Charming views and unspoilt nature are guaranteed.
The long-distance trail is divided into 7 daily stages and can also be hiked individually.
The Wiedweg is marked with a blue W on a white background. It guides the hiker safely and without gaps.
