"As a Westerwald woman I love nature and appreciate the beauty of my homeland very much. It is not important to me to show the sights of the Westerwald. Rather, it is the favourite places in the forest or the small, at first glance inconspicuous things that impress me - this can be the structure of a tree bark or a mossy fence post.
In order to capture the light and the special atmosphere of nature, my works (oil on canvas) are often created outdoors. Only here can I perceive nature with all my senses. In the cold season, I devote myself to photorealistic painting and portraits, drawing inspiration from my own photographs taken during walks or extended hikes, among other things".
About the artist
Theresia Müller-Kunz is a master glass engraver and a state-certified glass finishing technician (training and advanced training at the Hadamar State Glass College). Until the family was founded (three children), she worked for ten years as an independent craftswoman in her own glass studio in Hachenburg. Today she works as a freelance artist.
