"The Inspector". "Rock Me Amadeus. "Jeanny". These hits and even more music from Austria's biggest pop star, who died in 1998, have been available live since 2007. "The Spirit of FALCO" is the name of this rousing show, which, in addition to its international chart successes, includes songs such as "Out Of The Dark (Into The Light)", "Vienna Calling", "Egoist" and "Junge Römer". Their focus is on singer and entertainer Hans-Peter Gill. He is the only Falco interpreter solo artist in Germany officially authorized by the Falco Private Foundation!
However, outward appearances are not the only parallels between the two. At least as important: Gill has a voice similar to Falco's and has internalized his distinctive rap style - so well, in fact, that he performed on February 22, 2012 in Falcos Stamlokal, the Viennese club institution "U4", with whose original band Conny de Beauclair celebrated the 60th birthday of the scene photographer and long-time Falco friend.
In order to guarantee maximum authenticity, Hans-Peter Gill had his stage clothes tailored according to the original models. The cool stage appearance of the smart Austrian is perfectly mastered by him anyway.
