The well-known band "Paddy goes to Holyhead" will perform in Enspel on Sunday, 21 May 2023, at 1 pm. Guitar, fiddle, harmonica and vocals: These are the ingredients that three musicians bring to Stöffel Park - on the square in front of the Old Forge. Paddy Schmidt (vocals, guitar, harmonicas), Almut Ritter (violin, concertina) and Uwe "Uhu" Bender (bass guitar, vocals) are currently on tour as an unplugged acoustic trio. The driving force behind their success is above all Schmidt's distinctive smoky whisky voice and his widely recognised virtuoso playing of the Celtic harmonica. Also the use of the pulsating fiddle as a solo instrument, the reference to Celtic ornamentation and the consistent realisation of the songs from current and historical themes play a role. Added to this is the natural charisma of the trio.
