"You've come to the right place," says the Petermännchen Theater, inviting you to seven performances of Marc Camoletti's comedy. In this turbulent play, no less than four ladies are looking for a man - but for entirely different purposes... The premiere takes place on Saturday, 20 May 2023, 20 o'clock, in the city hall Westerburg, afterwards it continues - as usual - in the small house in Rothenbach.
Here, four ladies live under one roof - without smartphones and the Internet, of course. The former stage star Georgette with the maid Berthe as well as the painter Jacqueline and the piano teacher Janine. Driven by the most diverse desires or needs, they each independently place an ad. It soon turns out, however, that carelessly used abbreviations can lead to momentous irritations. "Good day Mademoiselle, I've come about the advertisement" is heard shortly afterwards from the direction of the entrance door... At this point it is not revealed whether every lady is satisfied, chartreuse really causes cramps, before the practice should necessarily come the theory. "Let us surprise you and look forward with us to an entertaining 120 minutes," the theater group welcomes its audience.
On the occasion of the town anniversary "700 years of Westerburg" in 1992, the legend of the Petermännchen was played, among other things, in open-air performances. In the same year some theater friends and actors of this production founded the Petermännchen-Theater Westerburg. Since then we, the actors of the Petermännchen-Theater, enliven the cultural life of Westerburg. Since the emergence much has done: Meanwhile the association counts over 80 members, of it approximately 70 active theater friends (of it 20 children u. Young people!), which participate before and behind the window blinds. In the fall of 2023, the actors will present a play for children, or rather for the whole family: "The Little Witch" by Ottfried Preußler.
