For more than 20 years, Keep Digging has been a byword for smart and interesting projects. With this, it has been on the road on the stages of Nassau Land and far beyond. In 2012, the band teamed up with freelancer and occasional performer Norbert Bischoff from Giessen and now presents the second programme "Krause wartet schon". Keep Digging elevates the combination of groove, poetry and improvisation to a concept and shapes it into the best possible entertainment. The word artist Norbert Bischoff sings, reads, plays and improvises his own sometimes bizarre, sometimes serious, sometimes true and sometimes false texts about the foreground, background and abysmal aspects of all our lives with his own energy.

Bischoff stands for poetry, truth, veracity, density, adhesion (to whatever), poetry, song and musical co-creation; but also atonal exposition and the eternal search for security in harmony. In the new programme, too, things are anything but quiet and still, and there is no shortage of allusions to everyday situations, coupled with biting criticism of the big questions of our world.

Cheeky sound

All this is embedded and musically playfully framed in a sometimes groovy, sometimes jazzy, but always cheeky and anarchistic sound of the band with trombonist Ingo Merold, saxophonist Eckart Mascus, keyboards are played by Ulrich Wendt, bass is played by Christian Zimmermann, drums are played by Sebastian Wendt and Norbert Bischoff can be heard on guitar and microphone. What drives Keep Digging is the desire to always create something new, to let themselves be surprised, they say.
