"HovesMeute" are a mixture of young and young-at-heart musicians from the Rhein-Sieg district. They regularly play music in the small village of Hove near Hennef. The band was formed as part of a "project work" with a frequently changing line-up until a hard core of musicians finally formed and founded this band in 2015.
The band name does not actually suggest the music style of the guys, because they play modern "Celtic-Folk-Rock". The music comes from countries with Celtic roots, such as Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, etc.
The traditional rough and tumble songs, ballads and dances (jigs and reels) are "dusted off" by the band and arranged in such a way that they correspond to the modern zeitgeist. In the meantime, the repertoire also includes their own compositions.
The music tells of pretty women, green hills, homesickness, Celtic druids and historical battles of the Irish and Scots.
Attention: Whoever crosses the path of this "pack" will be musically captured and infected by the good mood, to then start on the way home with a broad grin !
