Stahlhofen am Wiesensee

Grüner Steig und Seenweg

Detailed description

This tour leads us on almost 20 km through some particularly beautiful parts of the Westerburger Land. These include the Wiesensee as well as the large and small Secker pond. A special treasure is the 30 m deep Holzbach gorge, which we walk through on a narrow path for about one kilometre. The Holzbach has dug itself into the basalt blocks there and offers a torrential view in places. The gorge with its bizarre rock formations is one of the oldest nature reserves of the Westerwald.
distance: 19,4km
Duration: approx. 5 hours
