Description

"Around the Hümmerich" - Guided hike on 26 April 2024 from 2 pm
We start at the cultural centre in Hamm (Sieg) and take a hike towards the Thalhausermühle forest swimming pool, which leads past the Jewish cemetery. A forest nature trail in the Seelbach valley shows us the beauty of the forest and the surroundings of the Seelbach. The information boards provide information about some unusual animal and plant species in the nature reserve around the Seelbach and guide us through the Seelbach valley. We walk occasionally downhill and occasionally uphill along well-maintained paths and smaller tracks through the quiet forest. Only occasionally is the tranquillity of the forest broken by the twittering of birds. In some places, the babbling of the Marienthal stream will accompany our path. We meet up on the WesterwaldSteig trail and can enjoy impressive views in the distance at Hümmerich. After the hike, the "Zum Raiffeisen" inn in Hamm (Sieg) offers drinks and refreshments.
