The “Dillenburger Winterzauber” will once again take place on Wilhelmsplatz in the city center. Visitors to the Winterzauber can once again look forward to an atmospheric ambience in the middle of the Oranienstadt from November 25 to December 30, 2024. The Christmas Village is open daily from 12:00 - 22:00 (exceptions: on December 24 until 14:00; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day). On Monday, November 25, 2024, the Winterzauber will open its doors at 5.00 pm. The organizer Twenty4seven Events in the person of Valeri Bär and the Oranienstadt Dillenburg as a cooperation partner are looking forward to a lively and colorful hustle and bustle on site!
Mulled wine, children's punch, other special and Christmassy hot drinks, regional beer specialties and culinary delicacies await the consumption of numerous Winterzauber guests in a great atmosphere and beautiful ambience.
Various local artists will perform on the spacious stage on site on Fridays and Saturdays between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., creating an exuberant atmosphere with their performances.
The 7-piece cover band “X-CHORDS” will kick things off on the opening day (25.11.) with a balanced collection of rock, pop, Neue Deutsche Welle and mood music. The following weekend, on Friday (29.11.), Patrick Keil, passionate singer and exceptional musician, together with multi-instrumentalist Giuseppe Cunsolo, will enchant the Winterzauber guests with German cover songs. On Saturday (30.11.) it continues with “Streamless4”, who know how to convince with Irish folk. The show continues on Friday, December 6 with the enchanting Jördis Tielsch, who will take the Winterzauber audience on a musical journey of handmade music with her phenomenal stage presence and incomparable voice. Back 2 the 80s will heat up the audience with the most famous Christmas hits from the 80s on Saturday, December 7th. The program continues on Friday (13.12.) with the Dynamic Duo, who know how to win over their audience with authenticity and charisma. On Saturday (14.12.), the cover band EVE will ensure a good atmosphere as a local party guarantee with an unplugged Christmas concert version. The “Ladykiller”, who perform songs by German rock legend Marius Müller-Westernhagen, are indispensable. The 5-piece combo will be rocking the stage on Friday (20.12.), while Saturday (21.12.) will be no less quiet. Fans of good handmade music can look forward to an acoustic program by Dillenburg master baker and exceptional talent Christoph Stoll.
On Thursday, December 12, the Winterzauber stage will be firmly in the hands of the Wilhelm-von-Oranien-Schule. Various ensembles from the upper school courses and the AG area will perform Christmas songs from around 5.15 - 6.00 pm.
On Wednesdays, there will also be great prize draws in the middle of the Winter Magic. Attractive prizes, including a Christmas goose, will be raffled off among all guests who purchase a hot drink on site between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the aforementioned days. The winners will be drawn on site at 8.00 pm.
Younger guests can also enjoy a nostalgic mini carousel on site. The rides are free of charge for Mini Winter Magic guests.
On the four Sundays in Advent, the “Prayer for Peace”, which is now well established in Dillenburg, will continue. The ecumenical prayer with Advent texts and songs begins at 6 p.m. on each Sunday. It is prepared by Dillenburg churches and congregations. All interested parties are cordially invited to take part; you are also welcome to bring a candle to the prayers.
The weekly market on Saturdays takes place regularly from 08:00 - 12:00. The market stalls will be set up around Wilhelmsplatz and thus form a nice addition to the Winterzauber.
There will also be the popular photo point again this year.
