Every year again! The year is drawing to a close and the most beautiful and contemplative time is coming up. After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the "Dillenburger Winterzauber" will take place on Wilhelmsplatz in the city centre from 25 November to 29 December 2022. Visitors to the Winter Magic can once again look forward to an atmospheric ambience in the middle of the Oranienstadt. The Christmas Village is open daily from 11.00 - 22.00 (exceptions: open until 14.00 on 24 December; closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day). The Christmas Village will open its doors on Friday, 25 November 2022 at 5.00 pm. The organiser Twenty4seven Events in the person of Valeri Bär and the Oranienstadt Dillenburg as cooperation partners are looking forward to a lively, colourful hustle and bustle on site! In the best of moods and a beautiful ambience, mulled wine, other special and Christmas hot drinks, regional beer specialities and culinary delicacies await the consumption of numerous Winterzauber guests. On the spacious stage on site, various regional artists will perform on Saturdays and Sundays at 6 p.m. each day and ensure an exuberant atmosphere with their performances. In addition to "Ladykiller", the well-known stars Stefan Röger, Michael "Öli" Müller, Christoph Stoll, EVE and loop artist Killi, other great artist groups from the nearby area will perform. It is guaranteed that there will be something for every taste! On Wednesdays, 30 November and 07 + 14 + 21 December, there will also be great prize draws in the midst of the Winter Magic. Attractive prizes, including a Christmas goose, will be raffled off among all guests who purchase a hot drink on site on the campaign days. On St. Nicholas' Day, St. Nicholas himself will be waiting for numerous children and families on Wilhelmsplatz. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. he will hand out small gifts and talk to the children. On the third weekend of Advent on Saturday, 10 December 2022, exhibitors will set up their stalls in the middle of the market from 11:00 to 18:00. Visitors will then have the opportunity to buy small Christmas gifts or winter accessories to their heart's content. The "Peace Prayer" will continue on the four Sundays in Advent. The ecumenical prayer with Advent texts and songs begins at 6 p.m. each day. It is prepared by the Protestant and Catholic Churches as well as the Free Evangelical Congregation. Everyone is cordially invited to take part, please also bring a candle. The weekly market on Saturdays will also take place regularly from 08.00 - 12.00 hrs. The market stalls will be set up around Wilhelmsplatz, making a nice addition to the Winter Magic. The conclusion of the extensive Winter Magic programme will be the "1st Dillenburg Gift Exchange" of the Lions Club Dillenburg Oranien on 29 December.
