Stöffel Park invites you to a chanson evening with Jean-Claude Séférian on Saturday, 21 October 2023, at 7.30 pm (admission from 7 pm). His performances alternate songs by Aznavour, Brel and other greats of the chanson with jazz standards and his own compositions.
Jean-Claude Séférian is one of the few authentic protagonists of the chanson and is in demand throughout Germany at French cultural institutes and Franco-German societies. Regular appearances on radio and television document his artistic weight.
Although Jean-Claude Séférian sang from an early age, he first studied classical music in piano in Nice and completed his studies in Münster / Westphalia. It was not until the death of his idol Georges Brassens in 1981 that the professional pianist decided to expand his professional field with his hobby of singing French chansons. After solo beginnings and various formations, he found an excellent companion in his wife, the pianist Christiane Rieger-Séférian, among others. She will also be on stage with him in Enspel.
