The exhibition in the Garden Room is a project of Nina Engel, the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Westerburg Municipality. The photographs can be seen during the following opening hours.

The life of Barbara Bathe Barbara

Bathe was born in 1940. And grew up in the turmoil after the Second World War with many changes of location, as she reports. The former teacher completed her traineeship in Trier. "I have lived with my family in Westerburg since 1969, where I taught German and English at the KAG. I have been involved with language all my life and find the combination of image and text meaningful and interesting and have used it in all my exhibitions and of course in the small texts that have been self-published," she summarises.

In 2022 she published "The Borrowed Time" together with Martin Fandler - with pictures by him and texts by her. Her photography "My hobby photography is predominantly about nature and landscape. A theme that accompanied me for a long time were the clay pits in the Westerwald. I have shown many of my pictures in two exhibitions in the Landscape Museum in Hachenburg, two exhibitions in the Stöffel Park and various exhibitions in Westerburg."
