Event
70 young people from Rhineland-Palatinate and the neighbouring federal states, united as the Adonia project choir and band, can be experienced live at kulturWERKwissen on 27 March at 7:30 pm. The event is organised by the youth organisation Adonia e. V.
The story
Fear, persecution and violence have become the norm for Christians since Jesus is no longer with them. But in the midst of persecution, they experience the unbelievable: The church is growing, they are experiencing miracles and more people are professing faith in Jesus every day. But the passionate Peter senses that his mission extends beyond the city walls of Jerusalem. The whole world should hear the good news! So he sets off on an exciting and world-changing journey...
An Adonia musical with a captivating insight into the origins of the Christian community. But it's about more than just looking back at that time, because, shockingly, the topic has lost none of its topicality to this day.
The artists
Theatre and dance, a cool project band and a large choir - that's Adonia. The 70 participants signed up for a musical camp and received the album and sheet music for the musical two months ago so that they could practise the songs at home. The 90-minute programme is rehearsed in an intensive rehearsal camp. And the result is astonishing: the young people are not only highly motivated and talented, their performances are also highly professional.
Adonia e. V.
Adonia has stood for very special musical experiences since 2001: There are now more than 65 regional Adonia project choirs with 4,500 children and young people under the direction of 1,000 volunteers, carers and musicians.
