The Malberglauf in the Rhein-Westerwald Nature Park is a mountain run with a very special atmosphere. Hunting horn blowers and cow bells along the route, alphorn blowers at the finish and cow bells as non-cash prizes provide alpine flair. The scenic charm, the overwhelming panorama at the finish and the brutal last ascent in front of a large audience are his distinguishing features.
